| Grgich excels at College Of Charleston!!! |
Former WolfPack defenseman Mike Grgich had a very strong second half of the season at the College of Charleston. Mike signed on with the Pack this year and had an outstanding first half of the season. He was picked as an all-star in the IJHL, but after some heavy recruiting decided that he would head off to school and play for Charleston. Coach Ken Uher stated "Mike was a tremendous player for us this year, and he quickly became a leader both on and off the ice. Losing him was tough and we were unable to replace everything he brought to the table. However we fully supported his decision and we are very happy that he had a great finish to the season at college." In only eight games at Charleston Mike had 5 goals and 1 assist, and helped lead them to an 8-0 record and a spot in the playoffs. They won their first playoff game before being knocked out in their next game. "This past fall I had the pleasure of playing for the Long Island WolfPack," said Grgich."I am currently now at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. Unfortunately I was not able to finish out the second half of the season with Coach Ken and the guys. However, during this short time, my experiences and growth as a hockey player was substantial. Going into the season I was expecting a team no different than many of the other Junior programs I previously played for. I was quickly proven wrong. Coach Ken was one of the first individuals that taught me how to play hockey and have fun. Coach Ken’s style of teaching was unique. He gave his players time to develop. This style of hockey brought my game to the next level and gave me the confidence I needed to play to my fullest ability. In addition to this, the competition and skill level of the IJHL prepared me to play at a much faster pace. The experiences and growth that I took away from the WolfPack were amazing. Over all, Coach Ken and the guys became a second family. I know the organization is still young, but I am looking forward to seeing where the WolfPack is headed. In addition, I believe that the organization is one to keep an eye on and that the future of the program is bright. The entire WolfPack organization would like to congratulate Mike on all of his success, and we wish him and his family the very best of luck.

| KATZ COMMITS TO TRINITY COLLEGE |
The Long Island WolfPack are proud to announce that Evan Katz has committed to Trinity College for the 2011-2012 season. Located in Hartford, Connecticut, Trinity is an NCAA DIII program and member of the NESCAC. Evan had an outstanding rookie season with the Wolfpack last year, totaling 33 points with 18 goals and 15 assists. A strong, physical player, his two-way style of play had him contributing at both ends of the ice. Coach Ken Uher stated "he was such an important part of our team last season, and his size and skill really had people taking notice". Evan is a hard working, talented player who also showed a mean streak when he felt there was a need for it. "I have known Evan for a few years now and he has always been a very coachable player with an outstanding work ethic. As gifted as he is on the ice he is a better person off ice, just a great personality and a real love for the game. He comes from a tremendous family who have done a great job in raising a very respectful young man with the right values and priorities", stated Coach Uher. Evan played his youth hockey on Long Island in the LIAHL, and also was a member of the very strong St. Anthony High School club. He is an outstanding student who will be a pre-dental major at Trinity. The WolfPack would like to extend their congratulations to Evan and the entire Katz family and wishes him the very best as he heads to Trinity College to embark on his academic and college hockey career.
